THE SLUM VILLAGE TURN INTO RAINBOW
Kampung means the small community that lives in the middle of city. In 2016, a small group of students had an idea to turn this riverside slum area into a better place of living. They found a partnership to support their idea and gather 30 painters and local artists to create a rainbow village. Every wall, roof, and walking path painted carefully to create beautiful patterns and murals. Now Jodipan Village shows everyone that creativity can change the worst place into amazing destination to visit.
THE FAMOUS ATTRACTION IN THE MALANG CITY
If you stand at the busy Brantas Bridge, you can see two villages below. Jodipan Village and on the other side is Blue Arema Village which dedicated to local football team Arema. These two villages are separated by Brantas River, only 15 minutes walking distance from Malang Train Station, once you arrive, you can feel the strong local vibes surround you. Kampung Jodipan is the must-visit attractions if you stopover in Malang city.
Explore further and meet the local people who love to greet you, see the happy local children playing football and hide and seek in the corner of the village, keep walking through the narrow alley where all the houses decorated with small beautiful ornaments and many various local characters. Find the colourful umbrellas setting above to protect you from the heat, this is maybe the happiest area in the middle of city.

Spent at least one hour to explore this village and try to make contact with warm local people. They will welcome you like a family from far away and will be happy to take a picture together with you as memories. What else can you do?
