SUMBER PITU WATERFALL
Are you looking for a getaway to escape the hustle-bustle of Malang city? Take a journey to the mountain area of Malang, Pujon. Located 30 kilometres from the city, here not only the waterfall gives you a jaw-dropping view, but the hiking trail for 2 kilometres to reach this stunning waterfall can be as amazing as the waterfall.
Enjoy the landscape of misty mountains along the trail and see the local farmer working around. When you arrive, 3 levels of the curtain waterfalls waiting for you. Explore one by one through the narrow trails. Even though isn’t possible to swimming because the water is too shallow, this waterfall is still worth a visit.
PELANGI WATERFALL
If you take a journey to Mount Bromo via Tumpang, then Pelangi Waterfall is for you. Literally means “rainbow” waterfall, on a sunny day, you can see the rainbow appears below the waterfall. Lies in the middle of tranquility subtropical rainforest, you need around 20 minutes an easy walk to reach this beautiful waterfall, and see yourself surrounded by wildflowers and colourful butterfly along the trail. In the end, you can gaze at the water of Pelangi drop over 100 metres straightforward hit the rocks below. Even though isn't possible to swim but come here still can refresh your mind.
MADAKARIPURA WATERFALL
On the other hand, if you take a journey to Mount Bromo via Cemoro Lawang, then Madakaripura can be the perfect spot to pause for a while. Visit this waterfall means you guaranteed to get wet. By motorbike taxi, you will arrive at the last gate and continue walking through the jungle for 15 minutes.
Cross the river stream and enjoy walking below the curtain waterfall which linked to the main waterfall. Madakaripura Waterfall crashes down directly over 100 meters into the turquoise pool below. Even though this is not the biggest and tallest, visit Madakaripura Waterfall still can wash out your body and soul.
TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL
Located in Lumajang, Tumpak Sewu does not only offer one waterfall, like its name, which literally means a “thousand” waterfalls, it has countless waterfalls drop like curtain. On a sunny day, you can see this location full of rainbows. Go down through bamboo stairs and hear the sound of nature calls you, take a careful step to climb every rock and feel the mist cover your body immediately. It is a wonderful experience to stand in front of the astonishing waterfall. Nothing else like this in Indonesia.
KAPAS BIRU WATERFALL
If Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is not enough for you, then visit Kapas Biru Waterfall can be added on your travel list. This waterfall lies not far from Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, literally means “blue cotton” waterfall, the name may come from the light blue colour of waterfall in the evening. To reach this peaceful waterfall, you need 30 minutes walking and cross the river through the bamboo bridge. Hear the crystal clear water rushing from the high rugged cliff in front of you then flow into the foaming river below.
